have you ever made one of those?
at least i never thought you did for the duration of our time together
and i was intimidated, by you, because i was a mistake
so this is everything i could have said and didn't
or everything i might have said and shouldn't have

so much so that i forgot in myself that you weren't her
i followed the wind to where it lead me
but the wind can't smell or see, it has no alarm for error
