at least i never thought you did for the duration of our time together
and i was intimidated, by you, because i was a mistake

but the wind can't smell or see, it has no alarm for error
it felt you and let me go into your arms, but it wasn't you

after it ended, i was alone, i admit that
i followed you with trust
you lead me over hills and through valleys
you made me wander into cities and over buildings,
i saw disasters and wonders too extravagant for me to have imagined it
we traveled for days and i saw it within you
you were misleading me, back to where we started
in disappointment I asked you one simple question
"i don't want to be here, where are you taking me?"
and your melancholy answer told me everything i needed to know
"why sweetie, hearts don't always lead you to where you want to be."
and i smirked, "but the trip was worth it."

Things can't always be like they used to be, they aren't supposed to. If things always went back to the way they were then nothing would ever be the way it was going to be. Sometimes you have to change to move on. Time doesn't heal all wounds, the experiences that happen in between does.

I guess I should introduce myself; you may call me Peyton. I suppose this site, for me, is just a place to put those thoughts that randomly come into your head. A place to place my questions that don't usually have any answers. A place for you to state your opinion after I've stated mine.
Comments are encouraged, as I am here trying to share my thoughts with you, it would be nice if some of you did the same. I'll try to keep these short, because I know people don't always like to read things that don't very much relate to them.

Do we live in the physical world that we can touch, or do we live in the world we create in our minds?
I believe that we live in our minds, I mean sure we are able to interact with the physical world, but none of that would be possible without our brain. Plus, anything we decide is "reality" or "truth" then becomes our reality and truth, although it may not be true for others, if we really believe it is factual then that becomes our new reality.
Humans have a tendency to judge people based upon certain aspects of a person. If we initially don't like the person we are conversing with, then we will put a negative connotation on everything they say, instead of being objective. People aren't always exactly how we see them, me make people to be what we want them to be.
The physical world is just one part of the world we create in our minds.
